Managing Your Website Pages
Assuming you have already created your Web Creator account (if not,
click here), we are now ready to create
your new website. So let's go through the steps necessary to
create your new website. Web Creator makes it pretty easy.
Your
ISP probably has an area on their website called "Member Services".
Many ISPs have a link in the utmost upper right hand corner of their
home page. It might look something like the graphic to the right.
When you have found the link, go to the "Member Services" area.
Once you are at your ISP's "Member Services" area, look for a link
that says something like "Manage Your Website" as shown in the
graphic to the right. Click this link.
You will be taken to a plain white page that says "Welcome to Web
Creator" and includes a login for creating your new website. Here
are the steps to login and begin building your new website:
-
Login: You must first login to Web Creator using the
username password sent to you by email. If you have misplaced
this email, click the link "Forget Your Password?" and it will
be emailed to you again. If you use the
wrong password three times or more, you will be locked out of
Web Creator and you will need to call your ISP's technical
support department so they can reset it for you.
-
Change
Password: Assuming you are successfully logged in to the Web
Creator website, the first thing you should do is change your
password from what we sent you to one that is familiar to you
and that you will remember. To do this, click the "Account
Settings" link in the Web Creator Control Panel. Add your zip
code and then change the password to one of your choice. Click
the "Update Account" button. Now, you will login using the
password you chose.
-
Select
A Template: Now you can select a template you like best by
clicking on the "Web Creator Page Templates" link. When you
click on the template graphic, it will take you to the page that
allows you to name and create the page. The first page or "home"
page must always be named "index.htm". Click the "Create Site"
button.
-
Edit
The Page: Now you will want to edit the page by removing
some things, changing others and adding some new things. To
begin this process, click the "Web Creator Easy Editor" link.
-
Other Tasks: Now that the site is created you will want
to conduct specific tasks to make the site exactly the way you
want it. We have created a page of instructions for each task
you wish to complete. Simply choose the task from the list of
links below:
