  • The login page does not accept your username and password
This could be caused by one of two different reasons:

    1. Wrong Username and Password - Your username and password are not the same as you use for Internet access or email. When you set up your Web Creator account, you were emailed a username and password. You must use this information to login to the Web Creator website.

    2. You Are Locked Out - If you try three times or more to login with an incorrect username and/or password, you will be locked out. This is for your protection so that someone other than you cannot gain access to your website. Should this happen, all you need to do is contact your ISP technical support department and they will be happy to reset it for you.

  • Page takes too long to load in browser
Generally this is because the graphics you have added to your website are too large. This can be resolved by resizing the graphics you have added and make them smaller.

  • The page I added cannot be viewed
Normally after you add a new webpage to a website, it cannot be seen unless you add a hyperlink to that page.  Normally, you would build a secondary page and create a hyperlink to that page in your main page 'index.htm'.  The only other way to see your new page is by typing the full web address to that webpage in a web browser.
    IE: http://home.domain.com/mysubweb/secondpage.htm

  • The changes I recently made have disappeared
The Web Creator site has a timeout value, meaning that if nothing is typed into the web browser or no changes have been saved recently; it will log you out automatically.  It is best to click the "Save" button quite frequently to avoid having to redo your webpage changes.

  • I have been automatically logged out
This happens when the timeout value has been met.  Usually this limit is over ten minutes of no activity 'Idle Time'.  You'll want to save your changes frequently to avoid this from happening.

  • Main page is not showing what I want
On any website, you can only have 1 'default page'.  On your website, this default page is not only your 'main page' or 'front page', but must also be named "index.htm".  There are no exceptions to this.  This is because your web browser needs an initial page to load to view the website, as there may be hundreds of secondary pages throughout the site.  Naming the main page of a site "index.htm" is a standard with web browsers.  You need to modify your index.htm page first, and add hyperlinks to additional pages as needed.  If you've already created a new webpage and forgot to name it accordingly; we recommend you delete your index.htm page if not needed, then go back to the main menu and rename the page you've built to "index.htm" and it will appear upon refreshing your browser.
